I’m Engaged!

After 8 years of being together, Will proposed to me on Saturday night, 2/13/21. We were out celebrating our Anniversary and also Valentine’s Day and at the very end of our night, he proposed to me at the top of Mount Soledad.

For those of you who aren’t from San Diego, Mt Soledad is located in La Jolla and has 360 degree views of all of San Diego. While it is beautiful at any time of day, it’s the most beautiful at sunrise or sunset. And pretty magical at night!

The night started out with a fancy dinner by the harbor at Eddie V’s. It’s an upscale 5 star steak and seafood dining experience! Highly recommend it if you’re ever in the area. Also, be prepared to spend around $200-$300 for a dinner for 2! Then from there we walked around Seaport Village. We then decided to try and see if we could find parking in Little Italy to have a coffee and sit down in the main plaza there. That was nearly impossible. With it being Valentine’s Day weekend, it was so packed and finding a parking was not going to happen. So from their Will brought up the idea of going to Mount Soledad. Since we knew it would be freezing we decide to stop in downtown La Jolla to grab a warm coffee before heading up the hill to Mt Soledad. Once we got there we sat and talked, and enjoyed the view with each other. It was quiet, a little chilly, but beautiful.

So it was just the two of us and he got down on one knee and told me that if there was ever a perfect spot to ask me to to marry him that he always wanted to do it here. And then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

It was wonderful! It’s fun, we are now fiancé’s, and then eventually we’ll be husband and wife. 🙂 However, we do not plan to start any wedding planning until 2022. We both want to have a wedding when it’s safe to do so and when all the covid stuff gets better. So it will probably be a late 2022 or early 2023 Flores Wedding!

It’s funny because many friends though we were already married. Hey after being together for 8 years, I don’t blame them for thinking that. The truth is, we already feel married. This is just more official of course. I’m happy he popped the question and he said he feels complete, and that just warms my heart! What a great start to 2021.

Thanks for being here friends!
